More environmentally friendly than chrome tanning (the most common method), vegetable tanning allows the leather to develop a patina over time.
10.5 x 8 cm, with two card slots (you can store about a dozen cards) and a slot for bills (large enough for 50€ bills or checks folded in half).

This card holder is made from sturdy, vegetable-tanned full-grain Italian leather that will develop a beautiful patina over time. It can hold about ten cards, and you can even slip some bills into it (since they don't accept credit cards at mountain huts).

How do we know this? We ask our customers for their feedback on the product one year after purchase. And if the product is less than a year old, we provide our predictions based on some unsolicited feedback and our experience with similar products.
This cardholder isn’t going to wear out anytime soon. However, its vegetable-tanned leather will develop a patina: over the years, scuffs will appear and its color will change. This isn’t a sign of poor quality—quite the opposite: the passage of time will give your cardholder a unique character. Care Instructions
This leather has been vegetable-tanned—a plant-based treatment designed to allow it to develop a beautiful patina over time. The color will deepen, and the leather will develop creases: over time, your cardholder will take on a unique character. To refresh it, you can moisturize the leather with a leather conditioner and then apply a little shoe polish (yes, just like on shoes). Here’s to many years together!
