Organic cotton

We use organic cotton because so-called "conventional" cotton is a disaster for insects, birds and farmers. More info in this article.
Composition: 95% organic cotton, 5% elastane.

Size chart

Our sizing is standard. Basically, if you take an M at most traditional brands (Uniqlo, Mango, Zara...), take an M with us.

Here's our size chart below. If you want to compare it with a t-shirt you already own, pick one that fits you well (we mean the size, not the colour) and measure it flat.

The techniques behind the quality

Combed cotton
Combed cotton

Cotton that we've stripped of its short fibres by “combing” it: so it's softer and more hard-wearing than regular cotton.

Also called “ring spinning”, it produces a fine, soft and strong yarn.

The problem with close-fitting clothes is that over time, with wear and washing, they end up losing their shape. So we added a good-sized elastane thread to limit this.

Pre-washing

This t-shirt is stabilised and pre-washed at the factory, so it won't shrink at home (with cotton clothes, most of the shrinking happens during the first wash).

Oh baby baby…

Short sleeves that stop at the top of the arm and a close-fitting cut thanks to the stretch of its ribbed knit: here's our take on the baby tee (or “undershirt” if you were born before the 2000s). It's made of organic cotton (combed for extra softness) and reinforced with a good-sized elastane thread to prevent it from losing its shape.

In detail

Close-fitting cut

To highlight that lovely waist and those rounded shoulders everyone envies you for.

Rib knitting

This knit stitch is naturally stretchy, which is what gives the close fit. And up close, it's pretty, right?

Set-in collar

The collar is doubled and fixed with a double topstitch so it holds its shape better.

But why ...

... make it in Portugal and not in France? Of course, producing in Portugal lets us sell for less. But it's also easier to achieve good quality there: in the 80s, when France offshored its industry, Portugal strengthened its own. That said, others besides us manage to make very good ribbed t-shirts 100% made in France, like Les Tricots Marcel.

How this product will age
How do we know? We ask our customers what they think of the product one year after they've bought it. And if the product is less than a year old, we give you our predictions based on some spontaneous feedback and on our experience with similar products.

As with all cotton clothes, the colours can fade with washing. But so far, our testers haven't reported any particular wear and tear, and they confirm that the black really holds up well. On top of that, it stretches very little with wear and stays soft after washing.

Care instructions

So it can stay with you for years, wash it inside out at 30°C with similar colours and, if possible, let it air-dry. Avoid high temperatures (in the machine or tumble dryer) so you don't burn the elastane thread.

Environmental cost
This environmental cost is calculated using the official methodology of the French environmental labelling scheme (in force since 1 October 2025).
