Our team is very small (fewer than 10 people), and we’re hiring slowly: whether we’re talking about revenue or team size, we don’t want to grow too fast.
We need this slow pace to create a healthy work environment: fair and transparent wages, reasonable hours, colleagues we get along with, varied tasks, and an atmosphere that leaves no room for discrimination.

Our Values
When we started hiring at Loom, we had to ask ourselves what kind of company we wanted to be and what kind of work environment we wanted to create. And here’s, in a nutshell, what we’re aiming for:
- To have ambitions for Loom without sacrificing the rest of our lives. Our work isn’t everything—our health, our families, friends, loved ones, hobbies, and community involvement are just as important. In short, we want to work less but better.
- Apply our vision of a world that respects the planet’s limits to our workplace. We believe in simplicity, low-tech solutions, minimal environmental impact, and sustainable transportation. For example, we subsidize the purchase and maintenance of company bicycles for our employees, and we’d rather go on a hiking trip together than spend a weekend in Djerba. In short, for us, environmental stewardship starts with simplicity.
- Work for what you love, not for what you earn. Of course, it’s important to make a living—that’s why all salaries at Loom allow employees to live decently, taking into account each person’s individual circumstances. But we also believe that the love of money has no place here. So we try to “reward” people and make working at Loom appealing through other means. In short, at Loom, we don’t chase after money.
- A workplace with as little discrimination and resulting inequality as possible (sexist, racist, homophobic, ableist, fatphobic, etc.). This involves understanding how oppression works and putting safeguards in place to prevent it from taking root as much as possible. In short, we fight against all forms of discrimination.
