How to care for the flannel shirt?
Our care tips for the flannel shirt:
It's 100% cotton, so it can go in the machine at 40 degrees and handle the tumble dryer. But it's better to wash it at 30°C and air-dry it: it works just as well, it's far greener and it'll extend the shirt's life. Then, always wash it inside out to avoid any fading and any risk of pilling.
Our best tip for getting it back not too creased and ironing it more easily: spin at a low speed (600 rpm max) and hang it on a hanger while still damp. And besides, ironing is an art we couldn't teach you in a few lines: here's a good video demonstration in three minutes. Don't forget to always iron your shirts inside out and at a low temperature to damage them as little as possible, especially the flannel shirt, whose fluffy fibres don't cope well with an iron that's too hot.
The fabric will always be a little prone to pilling. In fact, that's the very principle of flannel: the cotton is brushed (that's what makes it so soft), so the fibres come loose more easily. It's normal — you just have to keep it in perspective and learn to live with it :)
And there you go!
