Our team is very small (fewer than 10 people) and we hire slowly: whether we're talking about revenue or team size, we don't want to grow too fast.
This slow pace is necessary for us to create a healthy working environment: fair and transparent salaries, reasonable hours, colleagues we get along with, varied tasks, and an atmosphere that leaves no room for discrimination.

Our values
When we started hiring people at Loom, we had to ask ourselves what kind of company we wanted to be and what kind of atmosphere we wanted to work in. And here, broadly, is what appeals to us:
- Having ambitions for Loom without sacrificing the rest of our lives. Our work isn't everything; our health, our families, friends, loved ones, hobbies and civic commitments matter too. In short, we want to work less but better.
- Applying to our workplace our vision of a world compatible with the planet's limits. We believe in sobriety, in low tech, in minimal ecological impact, in soft mobility. For example, we fund the purchase and upkeep of a company bike for our employees, and we'd rather have an off-site where we all go hiking together than a weekend in Djerba. In short, for us, ecology means sobriety.
- Working for what we love, not for what we earn. Of course it's important to put food on the table, which is why every salary at Loom lets you live decently, taking each person's circumstances into account. But we also believe that the love of money has no place here. So we try to "reward" people and make them want to work at Loom through other means. In short, at Loom, we're not chasing money.
- A workplace with as little discrimination as possible and the inequalities that come with it (sexist, racist, homophobic, ableist, fatphobic, and so on). This means understanding how oppression works, and putting safeguards in place to prevent it, as much as possible, from taking hold. In short, we fight against all forms of discrimination.
